BE IT RESOLVED THAT: WHEREAS the safety of road users within the Township of East Garafraxa is of paramount concern; and WHEREAS Council is particularly concerned regarding the number of accidents at the intersection of Dufferin County Road 24 (Trafalgar), Wellington County Road 24 (Trafalgar), and the East Garafraxa-Erin Townline; NOW THEREFORE Council of the Township of East Garafraxa petition the County of Dufferin and the County of Wellington to undertake a joint comprehensive review of safety concerns at this intersection and that the Township of East Garafraxa and the Town of Erin be included in discussions related to the review; and THAT Council requests consideration of a roundabout as a potential solution to enhance safety and improve traffic management at the intersection; and FURTHER THAT this motion be forwarded to the County of Dufferin, County of Wellington, and Town of Erin.
